Royal Argaman Ketubah

Description

This beautiful ketubah, signed by the artist, was created and printed in Jerusalem. Zeesi, the artist, has the ability to bring the warmth, joy and beauty of Jerusalem and Judaism to her art. In this piece, we see a regal argaman textile border and a candlelit white satin chupah enveloped by bridal rose bouquets at the top. The Hebrew inscription below the chupah says "ani l'dodi v'dodi li", which means "I am to my beloved and my beloved is to me". The actual ketubah text is bordered by two blossoming solid almond trees (representing the deep roots the couple is creating with their vows) towering over the holy city of Jerusalem.

Zeesi offers an Orthodox text that will suit any marriage situation with a special English addendum. Each ketubah is accompanied by a set of fill-in sheets prepared with the guidance of a Rabbi, that demonstrates the specifics of how to complete the filling in of the personal details of the ketubah.

For an additional fee, she is available to handwrite fill-ins in Hebrew and English, or the entire ketubah text itself, or for custom design orders. If you are interested in the special service, please send us an e-mail at brenda@jewish-art-and-gifts.com. The artist charges an additional $55.00 for this service.

About the artist

Zeesi trained and worked as a textile designer for many years in the United States. Her clients included major fashion and home furnishing firms based in New York City. She also designed intricate patterns to decorate fine ceramic judaica for a top Israeli artist.

Since making Aliyah and settling in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Har Nof (Hebrew for Mountain View), Zeesi has created an exquisite collection of Judaica paintings. Amidst the magnificent biblical hills dotted with olive trees, Zeesi draws her inspiration from the colors and textures of Israel, as well as from textiles, florals, classical patterns and Jewish themes.
