Jerusalem Windows

The beauty of Jerusalem can be expressed in countless ways. Highlighted in Jerusalem Windows is the Tefillah found in the silent amidah, in which we beseech Hashem to rebuild our Holy City to its former glory. The tefilah is framed in a chupah of ironwork, crowned with a Magen David. The chuppah is surrounded by examples of the countless types of windows and doors present in Jerusalem Architecture. Each detail is connected to a facet in the history of Jerusalem.

The work is called a semi-reproduction. After Moshe completes the original piece entirely by hand, he reproduces the paper cut by laser. Then, he hand-details each piece. The bottom text and gold gouache are hand executed, as is the hanging of the handmade colored paper behind the papercut. The background paper and the hand detailing are the same as in the original. Each piece is signed and numbered. The reproduction is therefore of a very high quality.
